Our daughter is a 3rd year Cal Poly student and we have shared your website with many of her friends at different universities. I want to share a story (with a happy ending) with you...Thanks to Carson's story and the Aware Awake Alive website, a family friend made a lifesaving decision to take an intoxicated classmate to the hospital and probably saved his life..She is a nursing student at in the Pacific Northwest and happened to be the designated driver at a party two weeks ago, where she found a kid face down in the gravel and unresponsive . Most of his friends didn't want to take him to the hospital, worried he'd get expelled from school for underage drinking... She insisted and coerced another student to help her load him into her car (where he vomited all over), and they drove him to the hospital. She knows she did the right thing and he recovered. Thank you for sharing Carson's story, educating our children on the signs of alcohol poisoning, and changing laws so that these kids can make good decisions and save lives.
